The short version: Mimicry VPN does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. It communicates only with the VPN server you configure yourself.
This policy applies to the Mimicry VPN applications for iOS and macOS distributed through the App Store (“the app”). The app is published by Wolk Invest S.L. (“we”), a company registered in Spain. This policy describes what data the app handles and what we can and cannot see.
None. The app requires no registration and has no user accounts. We do not receive your IP address, browsing history, traffic contents, connection timestamps, DNS queries, device identifiers, location, or any other information. We operate no backend that the app reports to.
We do not sell, use, or disclose to third parties any data for any purpose. This commitment is unconditional: it holds regardless of the purpose, the recipient, or any commercial consideration offered to us, and it covers data of every kind the app touches — including the server configurations and keys held on your device and the traffic that passes through the tunnel.
We are able to make this commitment without qualification for a simple structural reason: the app sends us nothing, so there is nothing for us to sell, use, or pass on. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or any other third party, because we never hold it in the first place.
To function, the app keeps a small amount of data locally on your device:
This data never leaves your device, except as necessary to establish a connection to the server you selected. Removing a server from the app deletes its configuration and keys; deleting the app removes all of the above.
While connected, your device’s network traffic is routed through the VPN server whose configuration you imported. We do not receive, inspect, or log that traffic.
The operator of the server you connect to can technically observe your connection metadata — just as your internet provider can when you browse without a VPN. Only import configurations from operators you trust.
The app contains no analytics, telemetry, or advertising frameworks. If you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash reports; these contain no personal information and are used solely to fix bugs.
The app is not directed at children, and — as described above — it does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a revised effective date. Since the app collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare and editorial.
